A Brave New World

When the tour ended the band started on their 12^th studio album, Brave New World. It was released in early 2000 and is in my opinion, the greatest album ever released by them.  Every song is superbly done and the enthusiasm is astounding.  The first single off the new album was The Wicker Man, which is a great heavy metal song.  Another song, Out Of The Silent Planet was also released.  Maiden were back on top form again.  The Brave New World Tour that showed that the band was well and truly back.

Rock In Rio

2002 brought the release of a new live album, Rock In Rio which was recorded from the previous year.  Songs were included from Brave New World and older classics like The Trooper.  Great sound  quality and a stunning performance make it the best live album to date.  In March 2002 the band played benefit gigs at Brixton Academy for the Clive Burr MS fund.

The very first official Iron Maiden  online auction was held in June/July 2002. Many rare posters etc were sold and even a stage Eddie! Money raised was put into the Clive Burr MS fund.

The band rested untill November 2002, when they started work on their 13th studio album.

On 2nd June 2003 there will be a DVD / video released called Visions Of The Beast which will feature all promo. videos since 1980 - a must for Maiden fans then.

The title for the new album is Dance Of Death and will be released in September 2003 (I think the 8th).
